Custom framing since 1990

Well, after 35 years of making friends, cutting mats, hanging wires, and framing some of the best art this city has to offer, it’s time - with a great deal of sadness - to say goodbye. 

From the beginning in 1990, at 742 Queen, to our final home here at 1186 Queen West, it has been my honour to be even a small part of our vibrant arts community. I’m grateful for every piece of art, every photograph, and every story that’s come through my door over the years. And most of all, for the lasting and treasured friendships and memories.

akau will be closing its doors on Dec 20th, 2025. 

Any completed work will have to be picked up before that date.
